What we build

New decks and full replacements, with the stairs, railings and layout planned as part of the job. If you're replacing a deck, we inspect what's underneath before recommending what to keep and what needs to go. We also build multi level decks, pergolas and decks around pools and ponds.

How the framing is done

Footings go below the frost line so the deck doesn't heave. Joists are spaced and hung to code with proper hangers and bracing, not the bare minimum the span table allows. Where the deck meets the house we flash the ledger and add ice and water shield, because a leaking ledger is how a deck rots a house. Railings and stairs are built to code and match the deck. That's what the inspector looks at, and it's what decides whether the deck is still solid in fifteen years.

How a deck job runs

We walk the yard with you, measure and put together a written itemized quote. Once the scope is agreed, we handle the permit and inspections with your township. You know what we're building and what's included before the work starts.
