Commercial Build Outs and Office Renovations
Tenant build outs, office renovations and retail interiors, scheduled around your lease and your opening date.
We take on smaller commercial work: tenant improvement build outs, office renovations, retail and showroom interiors. The jobs that are too small for the big commercial outfits and too involved for a handyman. Same licensed contractor, same written itemized quote, with commercial code and a schedule that respects the fact that every week of construction is a week of rent without revenue.
What we take on
Demising walls, offices and conference rooms, reception areas, break rooms, restrooms, storefront interiors, flooring, ceilings, lighting and paint. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing are coordinated as part of the job and permitted under your municipality.
Working around your lease and hours
If you're open, we work around your hours. If you're waiting to open, the schedule is built backward from your opening date and written into the quote. Change orders are priced before the work, not after.
Code and inspections
Commercial work has its own code requirements for egress, fire separation, accessibility and occupancy. We build to them and handle the inspections, so the certificate of occupancy is not a surprise at the end.
What's included

What customers say

Read all reviews“I was thoroughly impressed with how much care and effort they took in planning, measuring, cutting and fitting each piece of lumber. They showed up when scheduled and always cleaned up after each workday. I felt I was charged a fair price for the projects (I obtained estimates from multiple contractors). When I'm ready to redo my kitchen and another bathroom, Daka Renovations will be my first call.”
“Very professional. Fantastic work. Very reasonable price. Cleaned up every day. Best experience I have had with a contractor in some time.”
“When the job was done, I listed the house and it sold in one day for full asking price. Thanks so much!”
Questions
Questions about commercial construction
What size commercial jobs do you take?
Single suites, small offices, retail and showroom interiors. We are not the contractor for a ground up commercial building, and we will say so if a job is outside what we do well.
Can you work while we stay open?
Often, yes. We schedule noisy and dusty work outside your hours where possible and keep the site contained.
Who pulls the permit?
We do, under your municipality, including the trade permits for electrical, plumbing and mechanical.
How is it priced?
A written itemized quote by scope, with a schedule tied to your dates. Changes are priced before they happen.
Do you handle accessibility requirements?
Yes. Accessibility, egress and fire separation are part of commercial code and part of the plan from the start.
